Default Generating Leads with PPC

It has been my experience that generating leads via a website by using the Pay-per-click search engines has proven to be 2 things:

1) Reliable
2) Expensive

There is no doubt that you can generate a high quantity of high quality leads with pay-per-click advertising, but it will cost you. We typically see (in moderately competitive markets) CPA of anywhere between $40.00 and $80.00. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

We have also found that Yahoo and Google performed well, but nearly none of the tier-2 search engines provided much at all.

PPC can be your biggest friend.

PPC can be your biggest enemy.

PPC is HIGHLY EFFECTIVE, but Cost per Lead will vary based on your vertical and what you are selling. For someone selling a $2000 item, a $40 CPA is nothing - for someone selling a $40 item this won't work.

The best advice I get get is to target less used words in as wide of an area as possible. If you have a product or service nationally this is not a problem.

You can also send traffic BACK to the search engines to generate revenue and / or offset marketing costs. There are some days my EXIT traffic revenue is higher than the PPC cost that brought them to me in the first place - that's when you know you are doing something right.

The best part of AIMPROMOTE is the ability to DETAILED view Analytics and conversion data.

I now have extremely detailed reports of search phrases, search campaigns, and finally I know what is working and what is a complete waste of money.
Without good data and reports - and a system to accommodate like AIM you are wasting money - in a very big way.

Thanks for the positive feedback! Obviously we agree completely, and are always working to extend the analytics functionality in the AIMpromote system. It's always great to hear that our clients are using and appreciating what we have to offer.
